Towards the Hinge Zone

Day 3 of the winter trip.

The goal for the winter trip was to visit the south western corner of the Brunt Ice Shelf, where Precious Bay meets the Hinge Zone and to try and find the route to the continent. We got as far as 1-2km from the Ice Cap and the Continent, however we were stopped by an area densely populated with crevasses. It wasn't safe to proceed any further on Skidoos and to go further on foot, while possible, would have taken too much time. We decided to enjoy the view and visit and explore some of the features we've seen earlier, as we started moving back to camp.
