Surveying the new Halley VI site
055/366
One of the tasks required in preparation for moving the Halley Station to a new location is to do a full survey of the new site. The idea of the survey is to take the plan of how each building and structure is going to be positioned within the new site, and to physically mark the locations of each of those. To do that with the required precision, the Surveyor flew in from the UK via Rothera. Using specialist equipment she was able to accurately measure all distances and angles and place the flags as markers in correct spots. All that is required now is to physically move the infrastructure!
