Nansen Sledge Redux

046/366

This modern version of the Nansen sledge is still built using the original design and technology with only slight improvements. The individual elements of the wooden frame are tied together using string, rope and leather strips. The frame is made of wood with a few steel elements. All cargo is lashed to the sledge using a rope with steel hooks. The only modern material used is the plastic under the skids, which reduces the friction.
