Tomorrow the RRS Ernest Shackleton will depart N9 site near Halley for the final time this season. Some of the Halley outgoing Winterers as well as the Summer Staff are leaving today on a four hour journey in the SnoCat. In about a weeks time, they will arrive to the Falklands and from there either fly back home, or do a bit of travel in South America. In the picture, Halley Comms Manager Stuart and Halley Field Guide Mat are hitching a ride back to base to collect and load up the remaining bags and luggage to be sent to the Shackleton.
