Marshalling the plane
021/366
Aircraft marshalling is one-on-one visual communication and signalling between the ground personnel and the pilot, and is a part of aircraft ground handling. The marshaller signals to the aircraft to keep turning, slow down, stop and shut down engines, leading the plane to its refuelling site or, if the aircraft is staying for a longer time, the tie downs. In the picture, The Halley Station General Assistant guides the plane towards the fuel sledge.
