Lazy day

Summer season at Halley is an extremely busy time. There's a lot of work to be done on station maintenance, the outgoing Wintering Team need to complete the hand over fully to the incoming Winterers, and all incoming Winterers get trained in all aspects of running the station and to be able to respond to any emergency. We work 5 ½ days a week, to make sure that the station is prepared as best as possible for the winter. In addition to all that, Summer is the time for all sorts of recreational activities. All that means every now and then each of us needs some time to put the feet up and simply relax - typically this happens when the weather on a day off is less than ideal for going out. In the picture, Asystent is looking out the window, waiting for the weather to improve.
