Last visit to the Shack

It is a tradition at Halley that just before the final departure of the RRS Ernest Shackleton, the incoming Wintering Team is invited for a dinner and a night out on the ship. This afternoon we made a three hour journey in the SnoCat for the final time before the Summer ends and the Winter starts, to spend a few hours together, away from the station. In less than a week the Shackleton will be gone, taking with it all Summer staff and the Winter will truly begin.
