After three months of constant daylight, today we had the first sunset of the season. Over the next couple of weeks the darkness will start creeping in and by the end of February we should start seeing dark, starry nights. In the picture, the Halley Memorial, erected in memory of all lost at this location, is lit up by the setting sun.
