First Light

On this very cold day, with -40°C outside temperature and wind chill factor at -57°C, the faint glow of daylight is visible over Halley VI. The Sun is slowly making its way back towards the Southern latitudes, giving Halley's residents a tiny bit more daylight every day, to finally rise for the first time in mid-August.
