During the night the average wind speed reached just short of 45 knots, with gusts over 60 knots. During the wind of this strenght, Halley VI modules sway a little and the sensation is not too dissimilar, although not as pronounced, as being on a ship. In the afternoon the wind abated a little for an hour or so making the Sun visible, only to pick up again in the evening. This panorama consists of 11 individual images stitched together and shows the view from the North end of the modules towards the Workshop (left hand side), the Waste Sledge (the yellow platform on the left hand side), the Drewry (Summer Accommodation Building) and the garage in the cenre and the Sat Dome and Comms Array to the right.
