The sun is finally up!

One hundred and eleven days since the sun down, and one hundred and fifteen days since we've actually seen it, the sun has finally made an appearance in the sky!

Everyone at Halley stopped whatever they were doing and went to the Upper Obs or outside to enjoy the view. It was a very welcome sight and it's one of the big milestones of the winter.

In just over 10 weeks the first plane is expected to arrive to Halley.
