The elusive sun!

This morning it looked like we might finally see it. The sky was reasonably clear towards the east, with just a small amount of cloud.

It turned out the weather had different plans for us, and gradually the sky was becoming increasingly overcast. Just as the sun was meant to rise, there was thick cloud pretty much covering the whole sky! I managed to take this picture though, with beautiful pre-sunrise colours. I love the light at this time of the year!
