Walking across the bridge to the Main Module, I've noticed the rising moon on the horizon. Being so low over the horizon, the light reflected off the Moon's surface travels via a number of layers of cold air as it enters the atmosphere at a very shallow angle, and each of these layers refracts the light slightly differently as the result of their varying temperature.
Weather today: -39°C, 4 kt of SW wind, wind chill: -47°C and clear skies.
