Sledging

As the weather was nice today with the outside temperature in the region of -33°C and very little wind, the team at Halley organised an afternoon of sledging.

The idea of sledging is to hook up the plastic Siglen sledge to the Skidoo, line the sledge up with a couple of sleeping mats and a sheep skin to cushion the bumps, have a couple of people sit, kneel or lie down in the sledge and one person to drive the doo. As the doo turns, the siglen slides sideways providing lots of entertainment! Soon enough we should be able to get the kites and skis / snowboards out too!
