In addition to the iconic modules, Halley Station consists of a number of other buildings, structures and areas which are frequently visited as part of daily routine for many members of the wintering team. To keep track of everyone's location, a simple yet effective system has been devised comprising the sign out book and the tag board. Each time a team member moves from one location to another, they move their own name tag to the visited location on the tag board and sign out in the book, indicating the time out and expected time back in. In case of an emergency, this system assists in establishing everyone's whereabouts.
