It's very windy again today. The 10 minute average wind speed peaked at 50 knots with maximum gusts reaching almost 60. This is why I'm posting a picture taken yesterday at local apparent noon from the north end of the modules, looking north.

To the left of the picture is a Caboose located about 2 km away from the base, which can be used by the wintering team for recreation - e.g. to go there for a weekend off station. Behind the caboose, on the horizon, is a phenomenon we haven't seen for a while now, the mirage.
