Only two more weeks remaining before the first sunrise after the winter, in Antarctic parlance called the Sun-Up. It's fairly windy today, with the wind speed at lunch time averaging 20 knots and slowly increasing throughout the afternoon to exceed 25 knots. There's some slight blowing snow and the sky is fully covered with Stratocumulus cloud, but despite all that, it's bright enough to take pictures without the need for mounting the camera on the tripod!
