The Main Module is the centre of all social life at Halley and consists of the following areas. On the ground floor: the Dining Area, the Kitchen and the Lounge. Upstairs: the TV Room and the Gym.

This Panorama shows the Dining Area, with the dining table set up for the 13 winterers (on the right), the servery where all meals are served (to the right of the table), the entrance to the kitchen (top), the spiral staircase leading to the upstairs, the massive main window looking towards the East (left of the picture, behind ping-pong table) and the lunge area (top-left).
