At this time of the year, as the Sun moves back towards the Southern latitudes and closer and closer towards the horizon, Halley gets in excess of 40 minutes more daylight with every day. It's still just over a week till the first sunrise of the season, and August is statistically the coldest month of the year here, but people are starting to look forward to a lot of outdoor activities.
