Aurora Australis over Halley Bridge

247/366

Last night we've had another show of the Southern Lights. Having finished the Met observation I was walking across the bridge and noticed the aurora in the sky. It was very cold with the outside temperature in the region of -28°C and 15kt wind bringing the wind chill down to fresh -42°C. There was still a fair amount of diamond dust in the air and everything around had this dreamy soft look (thnks to the diamond dust), and the Southern Lights were dancing in the sky above.
