Antarctic Film Festival takes place each winter in Early August and most wintering stations participate in the festival. The formula is that each participating station has 48 hours to make the film over a course of a specific weekend. The film has to feature five specific elements, chosen by randomly selected stations before the weekend, and these are: a line of dialog, a prop, a character, a sound and an action.
