Pisten Bully Convoy

322/366

Three Pisten Bully tracked vehicles returning from the journey to the new site for the Halley VI station. The main goal of the Halley Relocation Project is to tow the main modules and auxiliary infrastructure to the new site, 25 km due east of the current location, to position the station on the safe side of the crevasse which has recently started opening up in the Brunt Ice Shelf. To make this possible, a number of preparatory jobs need to be completed, one of which is to groom the route between the two sites. Today the Pisten Bullies groomed the route for the first time this season.
