To keep the science programme running during the station move, new cabooses are being installed to the south end of the station.

Each caboose is being positioned in its place while resting across a sledge. The Nodwell crane then lifts long steel stilts which are being installed at each of the caboose corners. After that, the caboose will be raised using hydraulic jacks and locked in place so it's a couple of meters off the snow surface to prevent it from burying.
