A window to the outside world

309/366

Halley Station has been designed to be bright, spacious and comfortable and to make the winter as nice for its occupants as possible. This can be seen all around the modules, with the use of bright and vibrant colours, plenty of areas for socialising and relaxing, or large windows letting lots of light in whenever it's bright outside.

One of the most prominent features is the super large window in the main module. It keeps the whole area quite bright and gives a really good view of the outside world. The white panels in the image are frosted glass (these allow the light, but not direct sun, in), and the darker larger panels are dimmed glass, which you can look through. All windows are dimmed, so it's possible to look outside and not squint even in the full sunlight.
